Meet Your Shamanic Practitioner

Hi! My name is Katie, and the spirits gave me my shamanic name of Warmi Yaku, meaning Water Woman in Kichwa. I am a shamanic healer, having apprenticed 5 years with traditional shamans, or curanderos, in Ecuador. I work with the sacred medicine, San Pedro, and assist in ceremonies with other plant medicines such as Ayahuasca, and lead healing rituals without plant medicines as well. I apprenticed with an indigenous healer and midwife from the north of Ecuador for about 5 months, learning energy healing techniques, herbal medicines, massage and more, and host retreats with her as well as my partner who is also a curandero. I am also a Sundancer, having attended 3 Sundances led by an Ojibwe elder in Wisconsin, USA. I incorporate the wisdom I've gained from the plants, my teachers and my own personal spiritual practices, including my involvement with the Rosacrutian Order, which have helped me along the way.
